Christmas knitting

Of course, not finished. And massive doubts on the items completed. and how to explain the neon orange crocheted beach bag, I swear it is useful, but it may be a hard sell. Oh, and I love my family but do they appreciate the time and the care that goes in to hand knits, who knows? Ok, I know, based on those puzzled looks, I would guess, no. And how do we feel about hand-knitted ties? I, personally, would be totally impressed, but once again, a hard sell. and still I persevere, having made 2 shawlettes, Ok, small shawls, in NOVELTY yarn, what was I thinking, and a shawl/scarf in reclaimed cashmere, but is the color something she will wear, and how many things can I make in the next 3 days, and will they appreciate the calorimetry times 3.
so I like knitting for Christmas, but I am rethinking my future Christmas knits, perhaps Charity knitting where people really appreciate the warmth of their gifts. Oh, and PS I love Hand Knits, the idea that someone cares enough to think about me, and make something for ME, how excellent is that! Anyone can buy something, not always an easy thing, so I do not denigrate that, I have stood on those lines, but, to make something for someone, that I really appreciate.
Sigh.
